1. Who these terms are with
Minthe is provided by Vitaloom LTD. These terms cover your use of the app and this website. Your privacy is covered separately by our privacy policy.
The app is licensed, not sold, under Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement. Where that EULA and these terms cover the same subject matter, the EULA controls for the licence itself.
2. Not medical advice
This is the most important section on the page.
Minthe is a wellness and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Patterns the app surfaces are statistical hypotheses about your own logged data, not findings about your health. They can be wrong. They can be confounded by things you did not log. Treat them as something to discuss with a clinician, not as a conclusion.
Do not use Minthe to self-manage a diagnosed condition, and do not start, stop or change any treatment, medication or restrictive diet on the basis of what it shows you without talking to a qualified professional first. Long-term food elimination carries real nutritional risk.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Minthe. By using it you confirm that you are.
4. The AI scans
Meal, label and lab report scans are automated estimates produced by a third-party model. They are frequently approximate and sometimes wrong. They can miss an ingredient, invent one, or misread a value.
Never rely on a scan for allergen safety. If you have a diagnosed food allergy or coeliac disease, read the actual packaging. Minthe's ingredient detection is a convenience for finding possible triggers, not an allergen check.
5. Your content
What you log is yours. We do not claim ownership of it. Section 3 of the privacy policy sets out the only circumstance in which any of it reaches us. You are responsible for keeping your own copies, and export is free.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app, or attempt to bypass usage limits or payment
- use the service to process other people's health information without their knowledge
- overload, scrape or abuse our processing service
- use Minthe to provide clinical advice to others as though it were a diagnostic tool
7. Subscriptions and billing
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple account, not by us.
- They renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. The real billed amount is shown before you buy.
- Cancel any time in the iOS Settings app, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. We will help where we can.
- Where consumer law gives you cancellation or withdrawal rights, those rights apply and nothing here removes them.
8. Changes to the app
Minthe is actively developed. Features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove something significant that a paid tier was sold on, we will say so.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any pattern, estimate or result it produces is accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, Vitaloom LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any health outcome arising from decisions you make on the basis of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Ending your use
You can stop at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend access if the service is being abused in the ways described in section 6.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page, and for anything significant we will say so in the app.
