One-off, if you would rather not subscribe
- 50 AI scans, $4.99. One payment, no renewal, and they do not expire. Free users can buy them too. They are scans and nothing else, so the pattern engine, food trials, timing tests and programs stay behind Premium.
- A lab test import, $1.99. Reading a full panel is a separate AI call from a meal scan, so neither plan includes one and every import costs the same on both. The screen that explains the markers back to you is part of Premium, so an import needs a plan as well.

How we think about the paywall
Two rules, and we would rather state them than have you discover them:
- Logging stays free. Not as generosity, as design. The pattern engine is only as good as the data behind it, so charging for the act of entering data would make the paid product worse.
- Safety always overrides the paywall. If Minthe surfaces a red flag and tells you to see a clinician, it will not show you an upsell in that moment. Ever.
We also do not claim "unlimited" anything, and we show the real billed amount rather than a per-week fraction of an annual price. Apps in this category have been removed from the App Store for doing otherwise.
Minthe is a wellness and self-tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and isn't a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have red-flag symptoms such as blood in your stool, unintentional weight loss, difficulty swallowing, persistent vomiting or a fever alongside gut symptoms, see a clinician rather than tracking them.

Is logging really free forever?
Yes. Unlimited manual meal and symptom logging, the gut-rest timer, basic trends, reminders, CSV and PDF export and red-flag triage are all free and are not time-limited. Paywalling basic tracking would starve the data the pattern engine depends on, which would make the paid product worse.
What exactly does Premium unlock?
AI meal and label scans at 50 a week, the correlation engine and possible patterns, guided with-and-without food trials, timing tests, the structured programs, and lab test insights.
What is Elite for?
Elite is $59.99 a year and raises AI scans to 150 a week. That ceiling is the only difference: every Premium feature is in both plans. It sits on the paywall next to Premium, and is offered again if a Premium subscriber reaches their weekly scan cap.
Can I buy scans without subscribing?
Yes. A pack of 50 AI scans is $4.99. One payment, no renewal, and they do not expire. It buys scans and nothing else: the pattern engine, food trials, timing tests and programs stay with Premium.
Is a lab test import included in a plan?
No, on either plan. Reading a lab panel is a separate AI call from a meal scan, so every import is a $1.99 one-off whichever plan you are on. The screen that explains the results back to you is a Premium feature, so you need a plan plus the import.
Will you tell me when I am running out of scans?
Yes, as a plain count of how many of your weekly scans remain. Minthe never claims unlimited anything, and the real billed price is always shown prominently before you subscribe.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so you cancel in the iOS Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions. Canceling stops the renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
